Google Antigravity Lands on Play Store for Googlebook Coding
Google Antigravity is now listed on Google Play, bringing its agent-first coding workspace and background AI agents to Googlebook devices.
Google Antigravity has arrived on Google Play with a clear pitch: turn a Googlebook into an agent-first development machine. The official listing describes a workspace where developers can steer and customize AI agents that work autonomously in the background instead of merely suggesting the next line of code.
The release matters because it moves Google’s coding-agent environment beyond the conventional desktop setup. According to the listing, Antigravity can create and deploy applications directly on a Googlebook, while its agents can write, edit and manage code, projects and files on the device.
What the Play Store release includes
Google calls Antigravity a “mission control” for builders. The platform is co-optimized with Gemini and is designed around delegated tasks: a developer provides an objective, agents carry out work in the background, and the user supervises the result.
This mobile-store release follows Antigravity 2.0, which Google presented at I/O 2026 as a platform for orchestrating multiple specialized agents. Google also introduced an Antigravity command-line interface and a shared agent harness, giving the desktop application and terminal tools a common foundation.
The Play Store page labels this as the initial app release and lists Google LLC as the developer. It also says data is encrypted in transit and that users can request deletion, although the listing indicates that the app may collect personal information, messages and other data types. Those declarations are worth reviewing before using the tool with private repositories or sensitive projects.
What remains unclear
The listing confirms that the app is available through Google Play and explicitly mentions Googlebook development, but it does not provide a detailed device compatibility list or explain how much work happens locally rather than in Google’s cloud. Developers should therefore check the store listing from their own device before planning a workflow around it.
