Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max Pairs a 12,000-Nit OLED With a 6,800mAh Battery
Huawei’s Mate 90 Pro Max combines a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED, a 6,800mAh battery, Kirin 9050 silicon and a 200MP telephoto camera.
Huawei has made the Mate 90 Pro Max official in China, and the specification sheet points to a flagship built around display brightness, battery capacity and long-range photography. Its headline component is a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED panel with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a claimed peak brightness of 12,000 nits.
The phone runs HarmonyOS 7 and is offered with Kirin 9050-series processors. Huawei lists a resolution of 2848 × 1320 pixels, 1.07 billion colors, the BT.2020 color space, 1,440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.
Battery and charging
The Mate 90 Pro Max carries a 6,800mAh typical-capacity battery. Official charging specifications reach 100W over a cable and 50W wirelessly when used with compatible Huawei accessories. Wired reverse charging is rated at up to 18W, while wireless reverse charging is also supported.
Huawei claims up to 45 hours of video playback, but that figure comes from the manufacturer’s own testing and real endurance will depend on brightness, network conditions, workload and software configuration.
A camera-first flagship
The rear imaging system includes what Huawei describes as a large-sensor 200-megapixel telephoto camera, an 18-EV high-dynamic-range main camera and support for the company’s optional Z10 camera module. The front combines a 13-megapixel autofocus ultrawide camera with a 3D depth sensor.
The standard model weighs about 234 grams and measures 8.15mm thick. Huawei also lists IP68 water resistance at up to six metres under specified test conditions and IP69 resistance to high-temperature, high-pressure water jets.
Availability is still regional
The official pages currently describe the Chinese-market model. They do not confirm an international launch, regional pricing or availability outside China. Buyers elsewhere should therefore treat the hardware as official but wait for a local Huawei announcement before assuming that network bands, software services or warranty coverage will match their market.
